Preschool Summer Camp at Discovery Trails
Join us this summer for a magical, nature-filled camp experience designed just for our youngest explorers! Our Preschool Summer Camp is Reggio-inspired and nature-oriented, offering a thoughtfully prepared environment where children can explore, create, and learn through hands-on experiences.
With low student-to-teacher ratios, we’re able to provide more individualized attention and truly meet each child where they are. Campers spend their days engaged in meaningful play, outdoor exploration, and creative activities that encourage curiosity, independence, and a deep connection to the natural world. All of our counselors are qualified teachers with extensive experience working with young children.
Camp Details
- Ages: 3–5 years old (must be potty trained)
- Dates: Weeks of June 8th through the end of July
- Days/Times: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Drop-off/Pick-up: Drop-off begins promptly at 9:00 AM and pick-up is promptly at 1:00 PM
- Cost: $300 per week
What to Expect
Each week is filled with engaging, forest school-inspired activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection with nature. Campers will spend plenty of time outdoors exploring, creating, and playing.
Activities may include:
- Nature exploration and scavenger hunts
- Sensory play and messy art
- Water and mud play
- Simple nature-based crafts and building
- Storytime and imaginative play
Every Friday is Splash Day—a fun way to cool off and celebrate the week!
What to Bring Each Day
Please send your child with:
- Packed lunch
- Water bottle
- Sun protection (please apply sunscreen before arrival)
- Change of clothes
On Fridays (Splash Day), also bring:
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Bag for wet/dirty clothes
Important Notes
- Children must be fully potty trained to attend.
- Camp is primarily outdoors, so please dress your child for active play and changing weather.
- Camp runs rain or shine with indoor/outdoor adjustments as needed.
- A minimum of 6 campers is required for each week to run. Families will be notified one week in advance if minimum enrollment is not met. Refunds will be issued if camp is canceled.
Registration & Payment
- A $100 deposit is due at registration to reserve your child’s spot.
- The remaining $200 balance will be charged on the Saturday before the first day of camp.
- Cancellation notifications (if applicable) will be sent out the week before camp starts. Any cancelations must be made 5 days before camp starts.
